Review

Another sunset, another new episode of Teen Titans to review; I knew from the title that we were going to have a comedy episode, but damn… this episode is in the same league as Mad Mod. It gets a 10 on the weird scale.

Despite my comparisons of this episode to the immortal Mad Mod episode, this episode isn't anywhere near as entertaining. There were a lot of jokes in the episode, and to be honest, a lot of them were home runs, but the story behind the episode completely sucked. The villain had the most annoying voice; the fight scenes were mediocre attempts at comedy, and to top it all off… Gizmo returned. Again. I was hoping Beast had had enough of him and simply eat him or something but no… Gizmo and the rest of the Hive are back, annoying as ever. The final scene got the biggest chuckle out of this reviewer. It just beat out naked Starfire.

…That's probably the most perverted thing I ever wrote, but no, I didn't mean it that way. I just loved her reaction to the x-ray specs. Not sure if the little one's would find it funny or not but I did. One thing everyone must have loved however was Robin's new hair. I couldn't help but be amused every single time I saw it. It was so adorable.

As I said in the opening paragraph, this episode was damn weird. Not just the villain, but the fact the episode seems to revolve around pie. The Titans themselves even mock the ending of the episode, and by the time it ends, no one would honestly care about how the villain was defeated, it was that crazy. I'm sure a few people will rant and rave about how it's the stupidest ending ever. Me? I thought it was classic tongue-in-cheek humor.

Episodes like this are difficult to review. In some parts, I was bored crapless, in others; I was erupting with laughter (Robin's hair!); a very mixed episode, with inconsistent quality.

Still, I had a smile on my face at the end of it. Stupid Gizmo got what he deserved. Hopefully, the Pie woman will hold him hostage forever!
